Southwest Ads

Anyone else notice the Southwest Airlines ads on this site? Anyone else notice that Southwest does not have service to Fresno?

Yes, they advertise in Fresno because they want you to drive to OAK to fly on them. I don't think they are coming to FAT anytime soon, although they could do FAT-LAS and FAT-SAN and make a killing on both routes. Brattybrat is right, it's generally much more expensive to fly out of Bay Area or SoCal airports when you consider all the extra costs. For a week long trip, you could spend upwards of $200 more to drive to and park at one of those airports than you would have flying out of Fresno. Fares from FAT are generally more expensive, but not usually that much more.

I don't agree

I fly out of Fresno everytime I go somewhere and I book my flights online everytime. Once you figure in cost of gasoline to drive to SFO or LAX plus the cost of parking there for a week, it is cheaper and much easier to fly out of Fresno.

Southwest Airlines and Fresno

Anyone else notice that most people don't fly out of Fresno? Anyone else notice that generally when someone is "flying out" of somewhere on vacation, they're generally going to SFO and LAX?

Anyone else notice that you can book flights at SFO and LAX online? Anyone else notice that you might choose Southwest since they're supporting a website you frequent?

Anyone else notice that the other airlines who do fly out of Fresno don't even take the time to buy ads on Fresno Famous? Maybe they think less of us than the people at Southwest! Next time I fly, I'm going Southwest Airlines, and I'm really not even being sarcastic.
