What's New at Machu Picchu

This popular tourist destination in Peru, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was recently voted one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" in internet balloting. Dr. James Kus, Professor Emeritus CSUF, will discuss what role Machu Picchu may have played within the Inca Empire and the controversies related to the site today. In particular he will focus on the impact large-scale tourism is having on this site. His slides will illustrate why Machu Picchu remains one of the most impressive ancient monuments in the New World.
