Nature Kids - Our toddler class is a "parent and me" class with story time, arts and crafts, hands on experience with the topic of the day, and snack time. We teach several different classes about nature and animals and everyday is a new and different topic! Recommended ages is 2-5 years old.
Classes are held across the street from The Discovery Center Park in the Nature Kids building. Preregistration is required. Call 251-5533 to Register.

Experience the Holiday Magic. Tour four houses in the Fresno High area decorated for the holidays. This is the l7th year for the Fresno High Holiday Home Tour to be held on Monday, December 3 from 6-9PM. Docents for the tour are Fresno High students, teachers and community members. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at www.fresnohighhometour.com or at Gazebo Gardens, Tassels or Scribbles. All proceeds go to Fresno High School.

Cities have now become humanity’s preferred habitat on earth, with more than half of us living in urban areas. The ecological effects of cities extend beyond geographical boundaries. How much biodiversity do our cities contain? The United Nation recently commissioned the first global assessment of urban biodiversity and ecosystem services: the Cities and Biodiversity Outlook (CBO). Dr. Madhusudan Katti, one of the lead authors of the CBO, will present a scientific overview of the assessment.
