Vineyard Farmer’s Market will be hosting its 11th Annual Holiday Gift & Craft Show during regular market hours November 24th through December 22nd, 2012. In addition to the local fruit, vegetables, nuts, honey, eggs, grass fed beef, heritage pork, locally roasted coffee, fresh breads and pastries, fresh orange and pomegranate juice, fresh and frozen tamales from Casa de Tamales and soups and pot pies from Mediterranean To Go, the Vineyard will offer space to Holiday Artists and Crafters.
High school students from Madera County will act as attorneys, witnesses, court clerks and bailiffs as they compete in this year's Mock Trial. Students will argue the case, The People vs. Vega, a hypothetical trial involving a hit-and-run. Awards ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Enterprise Secondary School. Fresno Chaffee Zoo
Zoo staff will celebrate the holidays by giving "presents' to the animals in their care. These specially wrapped gifts of food will be delivered throughout the day during Fresno Chaffee Zoo's Santa Paws enrichment event. The Zoo's enrichment program is designed to stimulate natural behaviors in the animals such as foraging and play. Elephants, lemurs and orangutans will be among the animals receiving the chance to rip the wrapping off of tasty treats.
Entrance to the Zoo is general admission (Adults $7.00 and children $3.50 (2-11yrs), Fresno Chaffee Zoo Members are FREE. Held during regular Zoo hours 9am – 6pm

An in depth workshop on the topic of divorce, led by experienced professionals who explain the legal, financial, and emotional issues relating to divorce, as well as the options available to divorcing couples. The recurring program is offered on the second Saturday of each month. No pre-registration involved.
Learn a variety of techniques for holiday wreath and swag construction, using fresh, locally gathered materials (some quite unusual). Dress in warm casual clothes and bring a wire nipper and hand clipper if possible. Class is limited to 20 and pre-registration is required. (Sorry, no walk-ins)

The Friends of the Gillis Library are having a book sale on 12/7, 12/8 and 12/9 from 10 AM to 6 PM daily. The book sale will include quality books in hardback, paperback and audio.
The proceeds from the book sale will provide WiFi at the library, Children's Programs and continued improvements for the Gillis Branch Library.
