Learn why and how to prune your vines for maximum production and how to train new vines. This will be a hands-on class. We will prune the vines at the Garden of the Sun. Please dress warmly and bring gloves and long handled pruners.
On his book "The Wild Trees" Preston journeying into
the perpendicular universe of the world’s tallest
trees, mostly California redwoods. Suspended in
their crowns is a primeval kingdom of plants and
animals that only a handful of people have ever
seen, and writer Preston explores the startling
biosystem of “the canopy,” sharing the story of
those who are committed to the preservation of
this astonishing and largely unknown world.
Nature Kids - Our toddler class is a "parent and me" class with story time, arts and crafts, hands on experience with the topic of the day, and snack time. We teach several different classes about nature and animals and everyday is a new and different topic! Recommended ages is 2-5 years old.
Classes are held across the street from The Discovery Center Park in the Nature Kids building. Preregistration is required. Call 251-5533 to Register.
