Luncheon: "The Obesity Epidemic – Why Should I Care???"
Speaker: Patrick A. Golden, M.D. Come to the February luncheon to find out more about this growing epidemic; find out answers to questions like “Is mid-life weight gain inevitable?” Can I blame my weight gain on menopause? If the whole nation is becoming overweight, just how dangerous is it to my health? The talk will be geared toward weight gain considerations for women as well as the growing obesity problem facing our nations’ children.
Keeping alive the tradition of documenting local landscapes through painting on location, the San Joaquin Plein Aire Painters are presenting their work at Studio 74, February 7-23. Featured artists are Sandy Kowallis, Nancy Kemmer, Marilyn Torchin, Jocelyne Starkey, Maxine Fargason and Hallie Grant.
Opening with an Art Hop reception on Thursday, February 7, from 5-9 pm, Art Hop is an opportunity to meet the artists, discuss and purchase their work! The Gallery is open Monday-Saturday 1-6pm.

We strive to reach all Sacramento area families to provide key tools which build healthy and strong families in our community. SFP is an evidence-based family skills training program found to significantly reduce problem behaviors and to improve social competencies and school performance.
SFP begins on January 15th!! The program is offered for 12 weeks along with Free Dinner and childcare!!! Families with children 6-16 years of age are welcome to attend.
This group is open to all family caregivers, it's not specific to any one diagnosis. Please join us and exchange information, feelings, difficulties and more in a supportive envionment.
