Classes must be age- and level-appropriate. Classes that are full or canceled are NOT available for extra guests; so please call ahead to ensure your participation in the class of your choice.

Nature Kids - Our toddler class is a "parent and me" class with story time, arts and crafts, hands on experience with the topic of the day, and snack time. We teach several different classes about nature and animals and everyday is a new and different topic! Recommended ages is 2-5 years old.
Classes are held across the street from The Discovery Center Park in the Nature Kids building. Preregistration is required. Call 251-5533 to Register.
This collection exhibits dynamic works created by 13 of California’s foremost environmental artists who collaborated to communicate a heightened connection to their natural surroundings through rich imagery using a variety of media from the traditional (photographs, painting, and video) to the unconventional (smog /particulate matter on porcelain).
Together, their approach is multidisciplinary, drawing on art, science, spirituality, and social justice.

Toddlers and preschoolers, accompanied by their parents, are invited to a delightful time singing songs, doing finger plays, and listening to wonderful books read aloud.
Exhibit: Dr. Fitzalbert Marius Art Show Feb. 8-March 2. Artist reception, 1-4 p.m. Feb. 9 in the Jack Kelley Gallery.

For the month of February (Feb 1-28), find your true love at ARF. All chihuahuas and chihuahua mixes have a lowered adoption price of $100. This includes the spay or neuter, all shots including rabies, microchip, and heartworm test.
Adoption hours are Friday-Sunday 12:30-4:30 and Wednesdays 2:00-5:00.
If you cannot make our usual hours, call during our business hours and we will do our best to accommodate an appointment time for you.
*Puppies (6 months and under) are excluded from this event.

Keeping alive the tradition of documenting local landscapes through painting on location, the San Joaquin Plein Aire Painters are presenting their work at Studio 74, February 7-23. Featured artists are Sandy Kowallis, Nancy Kemmer, Marilyn Torchin, Jocelyne Starkey, Maxine Fargason and Hallie Grant.
Opening with an Art Hop reception on Thursday, February 7, from 5-9 pm, Art Hop is an opportunity to meet the artists, discuss and purchase their work! The Gallery is open Monday-Saturday 1-6pm.
The opening ceremony launches the Tamejavi Culture & Art Series. In keeping with the Tamejavi tradition, there will be a blessing ceremony by Harold Hammond from the Chukchansi tribe. At this opening ceremony, attendees will get their first glimpse of the series’ many programs.
Gourmet Food, Chocolate Dessert, and a Whodunit in classic Dinner Theater style. Enjoy a 4 course farm to fork meal consisting of scratch made soup, salad, choice of vegan or primal entree and choice of dessert. Sit back and watch the mystery unfold before you.
