Calling All Pro animal rights Registered Voters

We have just 1.5 weeks left until 2/22/08 and Humanecalifornia.org needs our help to obtain 650K signatures to place a prevention of animal cruelty act on the ballot for November 2008. By signing we are not passing a new law instead, we are giving California Voters the option to enact an animal protection law that would support the human treatment of animals.

Examples of abuses:

Pigs during pregnancy are confined in metal cages called gestation crates and are unable even to turn around for months on end. Young calves are also kept purposely confined in veal crates so small they are barely able to move for nearly their entire lives. And egg-laying hens are often kept in tiny battery cages, unable even to spread their wings.
