Article: Fresno at night?!

I am recently introduced to Fresno. I went out driving at 3am and the whole town is DEAD save for fast food drive thrus and the 24 hour Denny's.

I'd like to see an article written for insomniacs like me who roam the streets at night. What are the places to eat and have fun in Fresno at night?

Help!

fresno 24 hrs

When driving around on weekends, look for people gathered out on gas station parking lots. Pull over, wait and follow the caravan as they leave. They're going to a party (most times under $5 a head. Now, it is usually a house party (I know, it's not for everyone)but stick around if this is your type of thing. if not then proceed to the nearest 24hr restaurant. If there are many suped up racing cars then it's your choice to follow or not. Well, everything else has already been covered. Kinda sad, eh. Welcome to Frez-No!.

(psssst)

(yo, hyph,,,

it's the guy who actually runs the joint...

-He's offering a discounted bud-lite
(blecch,
-but to each their own...)

---like, hold out till you get like,
free salad-bar or extra slices of pumpkin cheesecake or somethin...
(work it, own it, work it - work it...)

Andy's

For sure. Andy's shouldn't have to pay cover... and... neither should anyone else. and they don't. maybe you could get a discounted Bud Light.

SaveNetRadio.org

groovy...

-see you on YouTube...

(narf!)

Andy's Dancing

I do know where it is located but have never set foot in the place. It is near Golden State Blvd near Sorenson's Art Studio. I will have to check it out now. Maybe they give a discount for anyone named "Andy"...

so, um, like,,,,

Hyphenator... (long time no type, amigo, how's it hangin?...)
-an you been busy running a dance thing? (scope the post above ya...)

(...perhaps this years Christmas Tree Lane will have Mr. Hansen-Smith shaking his groove thang on the porch while serving up egg-nog and cookies??? okay-bay-bay...)

and in all non-seriousness...

What things ARE there to do from like 11 to 'whenevuh?'

I know Million El, Livingstones, and Starline are usually opened until 2...(I think.)

Starbucks (up at Riverpark, particularly the new one, (nothing against the one full of sport-bikers) is open late and seems to have a bunch of folk just lounging like seals in the midnight sun...

--What's open up in 'God's Country' (Champ-Perrin-ville?)

Denny's (always open!.. -and good for a short stack before retiring if one has has a long day wrenching bicycles...)

DEL TACO
(you WILL blow things up however, (especially after the macho-combo-burrito,)
Be sure to have an 'outside-gig,' lined up the next day, (not suited for 'office employed types.'

IHOP (back east a 24 hr deal,) shuts down at 10 (!)

(there's always waiting until harvest time, and then going to the orchard/vinyard/farm along side the road and just chewing your way from one block to the next,
(doing this under the cover of darkness can lead to some unpleasant surprises, like accidentally chowing down a sleeping squirrell or a bat or something... -proceed with caution-)

---And, though I have yet to make it there... I tend to be a'hearin' those go-karts running pretttty late (like after Home Despot closes,) up at Riverpark... (which means Miniature Golf too???)

-I hear there's always cow-tipping down at Kingsburg...

;)

Noise Ordinance

I know Fresno City Council has been discussing extending the noise ordinance to later in the night (or earlier in the morning) for the downtown. This would add more of an energy in Fresno perhaps not 24 hour but something in the right direction.

get your HipHop on

Andy's Dancing - It's totally off the beat n path, and once you find it... its amazing. Great music, Great Energy, SO UNLIKE Fresno, you have to participate to fully appreciate.

Its' Urban - Its' Raw. Its Andy's Dancing

Hotels and Motels are the other 24 Hours places.

'get your Hooker and taker her to the motel'

I've been complaining about

the lack of a night time heartbeat for a while man. It also seems like downtown is begging for such a beat as well. Get those apartments built man. I'm down like a clown for an affordable apartment downtown Charlie Brown.

After midnight, this place is dead. Sometimes, you don't start the night till 10pm, and that can run till 2-3 easily. A cool place that closed at 3 even would be killer. The downtown parking structure under Club One offers free parking after 10pm. Don't know when they might start charging to leave the structure though.

Diablo

Like I said...

...Robertito's & hookers. I guess I forgot all about the gambling options.

You just have to LOVE Club One's website: "Dining is available around the clock with Asian and American cooks."

Welcome to Fresno!

Yo AntiMusick: could you PLEASE LIST all these many "24 Hour places in the proximity of Downtown Fresno" ??? Robertito's & hookers are well established, and now Club One. I guess we could add the Hospitol? Good thing 'cuz after Robertito's and a Fresno hooker, you'll probably need one...

I'm just clowing man, but seriously, where are all the 24 hour spots downtown you're talking about?

-s

24 hour?

chris meat market is no longer called that. it is now april meat #2. and, it closes @ midnight most nights of the week.

24 Hour Club One

I'll guess you did not go to Club One it's one of the only 24 Hour places in town.

Nor did you go to Chris's Meat Market in Chinatown.

Don't say Fresno is not a 24 Hour City, There are a few 24 Hour places, other than the Bus Depot or Air Port. You don't have to go to Table Mountain or Chukchansi, there are more 24 Hour places in the proximity of Downtown Fresno than any place else in the County. (I think) And if there isn't then there needs to be more.

faith

the belief in things not seen. more then faith, I'm encouraged by the many Fresnans who seek life after dark

SaveNetRadio.org

I hate to say it but...

...get used to it!

Besides Robertito's & hookers, there really ain't squat to do here once the bars are closed...
