"Numinosum"-Stephanie Ryan-drawings and "Earthbody"-Anne Scheid-drawings. New and recent work by two gallery 25 artists. Stephanie Ryan's work explores the experience of motherhood as an encounter with the divine. Anne Scheid's new drawings begin in nature, places where change is paramount. Captured landscapes become gresture shapes to disassemble and reconfigure, integrating the human figure. Spatially ambiguous, these images of change and instability address the reciprocal and intrinsic nature of earth and the human body. Exhibition dates: August 31st-September 30th, 2007.
