Crossroads Lecture Series
Artist Nicholas Spohrer, whose work is featured in the Fresno Metropolitan Museum’s current exhibition, Crossroads: The Meeting of Art and Science, speaks about his woodcuts on Thursday, October 25. Lectures start at 6pm at the Reeves ASK Science Center, 933 Van Ness Ave.
Nicholas Spohrer is a printmaker whose work focuses on the common yet powerful expressions of human existence. His work has been included in numerous group shows, for example, at Murray State University, Gallery 25 in Fresno, Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery in Lincoln, Kimball Art Center in Nebraska City as well as in Bulgaria and France. Spohrer was recipient of the Chaffin Scholarship and the Thomas P. Coleman Memorial Scholarship. He received his M.F.A from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He presently teaches at Fresno City College.
