New Documentary Explores Coming Demise of The American Lifestyle

A very special event. The filmmakers of the new documentary, What a Way To Go: Life At The End of Empire will stop by Fresno as they tour the Western U.S. They will also be on hand for an optional dialogue after the movie.
The film features interviews with many noted authors and scientists. It looks head-on at our present global predicament, as peaking oil production, climate change, species extinction, and overpopulation converge in a "perfect storm" of cataclysmic dimensions. This isn't a fuzzy doomsday prophesy but rather a strong fact-based assessment that will leave the viewer awestruck.
The independently produced film explores the cultural stories and assumptions that have brought us to this point, and provides a larger context for thinking about, and feeling our way through, our global situation. Filmmakers Tim Bennett and Sally Erickson offer up the heartfelt challenge to face difficult times with courage and integrity.
