Poetry lecture: Dr. Sharon Bryan

Dr. Sharon Bryan, the distinguished visiting poet this semester at Fresno State, will talk about her perspectives on the intersections of poetry and painting. Bryan says, "Literature makes visible to the inner eye what is otherwise invisible; painting does something similar when it finally tires of creating illusions of a three-dimensional world."

Bryan is a National Endowment for the Arts fellow in poetry, and is the author of six volumes of poetry. The lecture is part of the College of Arts and Humanities' ongoing Intellectual and Artistic Exploration series, and is co-hosted by the English Department.
