2nd Sunday ArtHop Continues in 2008 at Sierra Vista Mall

Clovis, CA – January 3, 2008. As part of the Fresno Arts Council, Sierra Vista Mall continues to host ArtHop on the second Sunday of each month from 1pm to 4pm at Center Court.

This month’s featured artist is John Sanchez. John is from Fresno and a graduate of Roosevelt High School and then entered the Army. After his service, John lived and worked as a photographer in Los Angeles from 1974 to 2002. During this period he photographed movie stars, celebrities and models such as Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lopez and Quentin Tarantino. He returned to Fresno in 2002 to take care of his elderly and widowed mother and continues to take pictures of people, places and things. John’s photographs range from vibrant color to intense black and white.

Local musicians Chris Lunday and JT Hurt will play acoustic sets of their original music for the enjoyment of those attending ArtHop. Chris Lunday has been playing music over 10 years and is finishing his CD called “Walking the Long Road”. With much anticipation, Chris is ready to be seen and heard around town.

JT Hurt currently plays with the band GUTTERFISH. A native of Firebaugh, JT has been making music since he was five years old. A drummer, a songwriter and a singer, JT ‘s influences range from classic writers of Lennon and McCartney to current writers such as Butch Walker.

Please join us for an afternoon of original art and music Sunday January 13, 2008 from 1pm to 4pm at Center Court.
