The F.C.C. Strikes Again!

The F.C.C. once again showed the American public and the world the hypocrisy of the current administration and the two-faced attitude that the country has when it comes to the definition of 'Obscenity'.

On Friday, ABC was fined 1.43 million dollars for an episode of NYPD Blue that aired in 2003 that dared to show a woman's buttocks (oh horrors of horrors...Hide the children...).
The F.C.C. claims that the buttocks are a SEXUAL part of the body. Well... so much for bikinis at the beach. Don't take your kids to Santa Cruz this summer... they may see someones butt!

Every day on the news we are assaulted by the real obscenity of death and carnage brought to us in living color by the media and supplied by the more than willing war machine of the Bush administration and other world powers dedicated to the desensitizing
of the people to violence and death (can you say "the better to recruit new soldiers my dear").
I would much rather see a beautiful LIVING half-nude body any day than a pile of dismembered dead ones after a bombing in the middle east or a massacre in a high school.

Let me know your opinion on this. I'm still shaking my head on this one...

Rev. Steve

sure...

It must be nice seeing the world in black & white...

I hear you, man! Keep talking. How about the FCC giving away the bandwith to only the Giant Conglomerates and shutting out any different people from having a chance at the big voice. I would like to see Cable shows sold A La Carte. Why do I have to pay for channels that I never watch?

The Republicans on the FCC board are the ones protecting the interests of the Giant Conglomerates while the Dems on the board try to fight for the interests of the people.

censored

That is kind of surprising for the Mickey Mouse Network.
