Slide show presentation by one of California's authorities on vernal pools, Carol Witham. Enjoy a photographic tour from around the state. The talk will also highlight one of the finest remaining examples of vernal pools in California, in eastern Merced county.

Carol Witham is editor of "Ecology, Conservation, and Management of Vernal Pool Ecosystems" and has specialized in rare plants and vernal pools for 15 years. She is regarded as an expert in vernal pools and their rare, threatened, and endangered plants and animals. Presented by the California Native Plant Society.
