Any other Hip Mamas or Papas w/ the under 4 crowd?

I was wondering if there were any hip parents that wanted to get together and make a fun play group for the babes and kiddies.
If you know anyone, give them my info.

do any SAH / WAH mammas want some extra cash on playdates?

I work for a company that markets (no selling involved) from moms to other moms. Moms are hired on a project basis (read: not full time and at your discretion) when clients hire us to get the word out on thier new products. We get samples to hand out, coupons, literature etc and of course get to use the products ourselves. All Moms are required to do is hand out the samples, blog on a few sites about the product, maybe drive around with a magnet on thier car and fill out a short recap report at the end of the campaign.

It's great EASY extra CASH for doing what you do everyday from playgroups to classes, to errands etc. We just finished projects for Procter & Gamble, Motown Records and Sony BMG and were profiled in Brand Week Magazine and ABC News Now. We have a project coming up IMMEDIATELY in the FRESNO area for a new dairy product for kids 2-5 and need more reps. Email me for more info or hop on the website to join (go to the Make me a MOM page).

There is NO SELLING involved here, its all word of mouth on products you already know and love or are tailored specifically to your kids and family life.

www.FresnoMommies.com is an

www.FresnoMommies.com is an incredible group!! I have been a member (free membership, BTW) for a while now. I moved to this area without knowing anyone and now both my child and I have life long friends!
As for the person commenting on fundraising. Yes, they fundraise. Right now they are fundraising to remodel a room at the Fresno Rescue Mission. I guess I have a hard time seeing that as a bad thing. Those with more should always try to help those who with less. You should try it sometime. It does wonders for the soul!!
Anyway, check them out! They have a great online forum so if you can't sleep at 1am you can always find someone to talk to there!! They even bring meals to new mommies and are there when things are tough in your life. But best of all they have fun outings and park playdates.

Fresnomommies

I love Fresnomommies! I've been in the group for over a year now! I love the get togethers, and the mommies are great!!!

How sad

I'm really sorry you (whoever you are) felt you had to fundraise. As FresnoMommies is and always will be a free site, they do hold fundraisers to help cover the costs of the site and group activities like our big Halloween bash. No one is required to donate any money to FresnoMommies or participate in any fundraisers - like the one at Ben & Jerry's where part of the $$ from purchases went to FresnoMommies, but you didn't have to give anything extra. You don't even have to attend any events if you're not able, or for whatever reason.

Cool that this thread was brought up again, though!

Fresno Mommies - no way

Fresno Mommies is one group I would respectfully stay away from. Always fundraising for something . I don't enjoy having to fundraise to have friends . . thanks but no thanks

mommas and pappas with kids under 4

I was just wondering if there were other parents that want to get together and hang out with kiddie-centric activities in mind.
Im able to pay for whatever, Im just not a fan of the clique minded kids groups.. Im all for making friends outside of that environment.. BBQs, Park Play times.. going to restaurants, the playground at the mall.. each others homes. Something mellow.
I did it with my oldest kid, I know it can be done.

Yeah, my hair is locked and long.

Nevertheless, I do PR for a nonprofit here in town that has a WEALTH of child / family resources. In our 4th quarter 2006 newsletter I published this list, so it was easy to share it, after compiling it so long ago....

Sounds Cool

I have a daugher that will be 3 in March. My wife works several nights a week and I usually find myself sitting at home with her thinking of something to do. I would love to get together with any of you guys. I don't have any friends right now with kids so this would be great!!

I also agree with Celena, would much rather makes friends to hang out with than go the kiddie club route. Been there and done that....not as much fun.

Let me know if anyone is interested thepulliams@gmail.com....

Thanks for the info.
I was hoping for informal gatherings with other likeminded parents.
Sometimes I prefer something based on friendships rather than rules and dues.

I am easy to spot Long hair goatee and glasses. I will be saying something like "Audrey slow down and dont run in the mud!" Feel free to stop by and say hi sometime.
