Oh my gosh..I"m so glad you liked it, but rather surprised.. to tell you the truth, Last night after we played ..I was so frustrated..we had a long serious "talk" as a band, because we all felt it was the worst performance we've had in a long time....and that our show that night just wasn't acceptable...today my band members, and myself ..just felt really down on ourselves....soooo anyway, my point is..the nice words help..and I'm gonna show the band your post..and say.."well..I guess it wasn't all that bad after all" hahaha....I guess we just have to relax and hope that Undercurrent made some good money to help them out.

a little back story: after i posted that comment, patrick and i traded a few emails. he's a really nice guy and is always looking to improve what he's doing. we discussed the venues i'd seen him at, and the particular shows.

from that, he explained how his american gypsy experience was much different than the shows i'd seen him at, and if i could i should try and see one of these shows.

now, i saw him last night @ the undercover benefit show. holy crap, he killed it. so good. really, i've got an 11 minute video of the guy that i'll load up onto youtube later today. i'm watching it right now. sick. patrick's a great performer, really amazing musician. i'm still wanting something slightly different in general, but that's not a knock at all on patrick.

so, to answer the question of what local bands move me, here's a list:

the sleepover disaster
circles and circles
40 watt hype (even if i haven't made a show in quite a while)
el olio wolof
ibid

really, the undercurrent benefit show was like a big ol' night of bands that get me going.

I agree with you comments regarding Pat's music...however I would like to know which local bands do move you.

ha..gotcha..just kidding. thats ok ed..i appreciate the input. I have to tell you..I went to Marsol thinking about your review on Famous...and you were right...not that great, and slow service..i'll give it another chance, maybe it was an off night.

you guys are doing it. i must admit i don't like patrick's music all that much. i do appreciate his talent and hard work, but it just doesn't move me like it does others. however, i hope him great sucess.

working on our page, re-recording and a bunch of other stuff in the background, should be done with it in like a week.. (making it look like we know what we are doing, etc lol)

So where's the Victory Jump upload? Knock that damn walrus off its rock!
