Fresno Famous

summers in fresno are hot. we all know this. dry heat, schmy heat, it's heat and it's hot.

i delivered pizza for the tower me-n-eds one summer. in a car without air conditioning. on REALLY hot days, the radio would overheat and if there was a cassette in that radio it would get stuck in there. driving my sister to school on one such day, she decided to stick in her bon jovi cassette. and the damn thing got stuck.

and it wouldn't come out for two ENTIRE weekS.

having a cassette in the deck disabled the radio so for two weeks, bon jovi was my co-driver. we got lost together, we ran lights together, we melted together, we sang to pedestrians together. we even got pulled over by a cop together and because his songs were so sweet, we were pardoned by the cop together. but above all, we always got your pizza to you, piping hot.

oh, and felicity (keri russel) was in bon jovi's "always" video, i loved that song. that's the other thing i remember. ;)
