Don't laugh or cry when you hear how much Mike Hanson gets paid, read this first

I was reading the news by scanning several news sources, when guess what I saw?
Rise of the 'rock star' school superintendent
By Patrik Jonsson Mon Mar 31, 4:00 AM ET
ATLANTA - The list reads more like demands from a Hollywood agent than from a candidate to lead the schools for an antebellum-tinged suburb of Atlanta.
To come to work here in Clayton County, a failing school district in Georgia, former Pittsburgh superintendent John Thompson wants $275,000 in salary, a $2 million consulting budget, a Lincoln Town Car with a driver, and money to pay a personal bodyguard.

Just Recently
The new principal was just announced within the last two weeks.
Actualy Carver shares its Principal with Sequoia
http://www.fresnobee.com/opinion/story/460676.html
The last pricipal destroyed the after school program.
Brought in her own group of freinds.
What ever happened to Roy Mendiola and Fresno Coral?
Where did that money all go?
Millions wasted but not spent on the kids.
Where did all the computeres and media equipment go?
Roy bought it but it was kept packed away.
The Princial paid people for work they never did.
She about dropped a few bricks when the fraud investigator showed up.
Who signed that payrol sheet?
Who?
Can we say the Principal?
She drove away a lot of qualified staff.
Got rid of the Digital Grandparents/mentors program.
All the community programs and outreach programs destroyed.
She even tried to destroy Kelly the librarian.
Let me tell you about Kelly and my experience with her.
She built the schools library.
When they had no library she used a corner of a dirty store room.
She borrowed and begged books from people for the children.
But the last principal wanted her out and someone with a degree.
How many people with library degrees have actualy built a library from scratch?
Kelly always loved the children and gave them the best she could.
Trouble is Hason and the Board never give the Carver communitys children the best.
They get crumbs.
11 years to build the libray building after it was approved?
All they did was build the building.
Kelly had the real library already built in her heart and in a store room.
It took a whole year to remodel the office and cafeteria so the kids got fed satelite luch slop.
Why isn't the Carver vice principal Mr Steel qualified to be principal.
Is it because his mommy is an administrator in the pink palce downtown?
Must be nice to have mommy get you the job.
The schools failing test scores under the last principal are all online.
Why did Hanson wait 4 years to try to fix what had been destroyed?
?
Was it becuase the last Principal had become to much of a liability?
?
I Read Carver Now Has
I recently read Carver now has their own full time principal. Cannot remember the name though.
Whoelse would sweep the dirt and dirty principals under the rug
Who else would let an incompetent vice principal become principal and destroy G.W.Carver.
Then force said principal to retire when the Sh*t hit the fan.
Now he claims there is nobody competent to be the schools principal so they have a part time one.
So the kids get short changed again.
Just like it took 11 years to build the library media center.
Why isn't the vice principal qualified to be principal?
He is doing most of the work now.
If you do a search online you will find Carver was a great school.
Mr Newsome made it thrive.
Test scores and grades were up up up.
Now the school is back at the bottom of the barrel.
Now Hanson wants voters to approve money for building a middle school on the West Side.
What about Carver?
It's already a middle school.
It can be torn down and a whole new modern school built on the same land?
Instead the kids of the community get tossed crumbs and then bussed away.
Part of Hanson and the Good Old Boys clubs plan to ruin the community of West Fresno.
Wjy money for a new middle school when they don't fix up or repair Carver properly?
Shouldn't some of that tax money voters already aproved be spent on Carver?
Tough Job
It is a tough job and the school board in Fresno seems at odds with each other as well as with the teacher's unions. It seems a job where nobody will ever be completely happy with your performance as there is too many stakeholders involved.I am glad we were able to keep Hanson because I don't know if we would have gotten a better replacement had he left.
