Power to the People! Will Fresno answer the call?

This could be a great start to something new for the people of the valley.Your Voice(s) It is time to connect and let you voice(s) be heard by those that will lead us very soon. Will you answer the call or allow the Old Guard to continue business as usual?

Not a challenge--rather, an opportunity...as time permits, of course.

oohhh

Wow, a challenge; thanks. Please bare with the limited time schedule but will be glad to assist the process.

Which ones?

Agreed: the forum was well put-together and obviously took a great deal of effort (x2, with the city council forum next week).
Regarding the candidates, I can't say I know which ones you're referring to. This is one of the reasons that Future of Fresno offers profiles of the candidates--would you be willing to post comments about those who "grasp the importance of transportation"? (Comments are enabled for each individual candidate.) Doing so will not only help enlighten those of us who aren't as familiar with the issue, but hopefully also encourage other candidates to consider their positions. Maybe that's a bit ambitious, but it's a starting point for conversation--on this and many other issues.

thanks

Thanks and I may have forgotten to acknowledge the great efforts of those involved both for the forum and the "future" site.

As an explanation for the interest in transportation related conversation, the zeal comes with a very high cost invested plus many years of dedicated time. Mobility (transportation) is the foundation of our car culture. Transportation is a very serious issue. Everything we do is directly related to transportation, from eating a slice of bread to meeting with friends. Air Quality, health issues and the local economy are direct links to the transportation industry. A candidate who understands that, will be a good mayor. With my expertise in the industry I only see one or possibly two candidates that grasp the importance of transportation.

Responded

JPatrick, I've responded to your comment at Future of Fresno, though I hope others with a different perspective with offer their thoughts. I can't speak for the organizers of the forum, but I don't the question was dropped due to anything other than time constraints. I agree (though perhaps with less zeal) that it's an important issue, and can only hope the question makes it on the list at next week's forum.

went there

okay, commented, how about a responce?
