Anyone who complains about a lack of art in Fresno has probably never ventured outside of River Park or any further south than Shaw Avenue, lol. San Francisco is one of my favorite cities because of the art/architecture and I like to think of Fresno, especially Tower and Downtown, as a little budding San Francisco.

I live and work downtown and I love it to pieces. Then again, I upgraded from Lemoore. ;D

Welcome to the forums! I'm a musician/singer myself (just for fun) and would love to see some more local music.

Hey there! hmm well with all of us.. We are pretty new as a band. We've been to tons of shows and events, but have only recently started learning, and getting in touch (on a business level) with the people administrating them. So yeah with me for now (Evan) I've lived in Fresno all my life. I'm not sure how many Jazz scene people are around here, but if there are, you may know of my father? Robert Aragon? He teaches music/plays around town with bands like Voyager, Larry gittens, etc. I noticed Steve Ono is on here thats why I mention it, I believe they both used to teach at Archers Music (not around anymore). So yeah, another reason that drew me to the forums was the buzz about them, and general attitude with a lot of my friends about this city (mostly apathy unfortunatly). It seems like a lot of people think there are things horribly wrong with Fresno.. I agree with some things (like some economic decisions and school district problems), but disagree with things like "there is nothing to do here" and lacking any real Art. There is TONS of art and things to do here. Personally, I am basically here to get in on some discussions about all things local with people that care about this city.

Would you please tell us a little about yourselves and what your interests are ( besides music I mean ;) )?
