Monday's Grizzlies Game
I went to the Business Person's Special Monday Grizzlies game. It was at noon on a Monday. So the crowd tends to be retirees, school kids who get to go as part of the "make the grade" reward and business people skipping work for a long lunch. I attended with my two daughters and a friend who skipped his afternoon of work.
The weather was great as we sat in the sun the whole game and never felt too hot. The starting pitcher for the Grizzlies went eight innings striking out nine in the process. Future Hall of Famer Omar Vizquel was in Fresno rehabbing his knee. He led the game off with a hard line drive single. He only had one chance to show of his arm in the field but still it was fun watching him while he was out there. He played five innings before he was pulled for precautionary reasons.
The crowd was decent and seemed to be into the game for the most part. It was a low scoring game 2-0 which featured Visalia native Shane Costa being ejected in the eighth inning. The Grizzlies won, we had a good time and the weather was great.
Thanks FF for the tickets!

curious
did you contact the famous administrator (famous whitewater) after you found out you won? did you go to the bee to pick up your tickets?
i'm not trying to be a watchdog, just asking because famous whitewater was very helpful, and we were able to work out a time for me to pick up my tickets.
Wow
Lucky you Andy! I also had won "free tickets" to the game on Monday, but miraculously I never got my tickets even after being promised them twice. I have had Fresno Famous on my feed reader for over a year now and have read random articles of interest on here for probably over two years, a long time dedicated reader so I was surprised I was brushed off so easily on my excitement for winning something once in my life.
Glad you had fun!
