Gosh, change was slow in my day.

The last time I visited the Fulton Mall, or even any part of downtown Fresno was back in 2007, the year before I moved. I was tired of the talk. I just figured, “I’ll come back when things are actually being done.” So, here I am, some ten years later. I’ve experienced a lot and I’ve surely changed quite a bit, but nothing could have prepared me for the sights I saw on my first trip back to Fresno’s downtown triangle.

It was amazing! I mean, what could I say but “It happened!” Most everything that was talked about way back then, was now in full swing! I drove down from my hotel room in the Tower District and at the very edge of downtown I could already see Reza Assemi’s Fulton Plaza project, various multi-level housing developments, and stores galore.
