Wiggle Waggle Walk

The Valley Animal Center will host the 7th Annual "Wiggle Waggle Walk" dog walk fund-raiser on Saturday, May 6 at CSU Fresno (behind the softball diamond near Cedar & Barstow). Registration begins at 8:30 am and the Walk begins at 10 am. Families will enjoy a 2 mile walk with their canine companions followed by activities including dynamic doggie demonstrations by the Leap of Faith fly ball team, the Canine Agility Team of Fresno, the Fresno Dog Training Club, and our very own Fresno Police K-9 unit! Other fun for the whole family includes face painting, food, awesome gear for your pets in the vendor village, and contests for you and your pet! Enter to show off your best "pooch smooch," or show off your dog's best tricks in our "Pet Idol" competition just to name a few of the bow-wow-rific contests. Registration is $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Participants who pre-register will receive a free t-shirt, and doggie bandana. For more information, please call (559) 233-8690 or visit www.valleyanimal.org. Proceeds from the event benefit the Valley Animal Center, a non-profit, no-kill shelter and low-cost spay and neuter clinic for dogs and cats.
