Award-winning video game & film composer to visit Fresno State
Award-winning video game composer Chance Thomas will visit Fresno State and lecture on Saturday, May 6th from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Kremen Education Building, Room 172. Thomas composes and produces original music for smash hit video game titles like KING KONG, X-MEN, and LORD OF THE RINGS. His projects are major award winners, including: Oscar®, Emmy®, IGN, and G.A.N.G.®. Chance was the first game composer to score an Oscar® winning film and register more than one million downloads of his game music. He produced one of the first live orchestral scores and commercially successful soundtrack albums in gaming. Chance's efforts brought game music into the Grammy Awards and helped found the Game Audio Network Guild. His company HUGEsound offers superior audio post and music production services to developers and publishers worldwide. The lecture is free and open to the public.
