Lalo Garcia: Fine and Sacred Art @ Arte Americas
Lalo Garcia: Fine and Sacred Art
It's Art Hop time again...and there are a lot great shows to see tonight...a good one to catch is one that I happened to curate. "Lalo Garcia: Fine and Sacred Art" is at Arte Americas. He's an L.A. artist whose work is primarily religious in nature, so there are many images of La Virgin Guadalupe. The exhibit is sort of a retrospective spanning from his early days of photo realism, to his latest work which is more contemporary, and very styalised. He has a great sense of color and the work is beautifully executed, highly professional, and culturally relavent. The work is some of the best to be featured at Arte Americas in a long time and should not be missed. Admission is free for Art Hop, all other times admission is $3. general, $2. for students and seniors. Hours are Tues.-Sun. 11:00-5:00, Thurs. 11:00-8:00pm. Thank You, Armando H. Torres
