Quijerem¡ draws from the roots of the Americas using South American instruments and incorporating jazz ideals. Founded in October 2002, Jeremy Allen (USA; Bass & Percussion), Maria Fernanda Acuña (Venezuela; Percussion & Cuatro), and David Barrows (USA; Saxaphone & Percussion). The group also composes music for films, their most recent work is for the documentary film, "¡Pablo Neruda!¡Presente!"
