Point taken. On the homepage it shows the most recently added content, so people can see what's new. We try to make the calendar as user-friendly as possible, with a month view and a week view so you can find what you are looking for. The jazz show is also listed on the music page.

It's not a commercial push for The Belmont. The promoter happened to email Famous his upcoming shows, and rather than ignore them we posted them. It's funny you have this complaint. Check out one we got a few days ago:

what happened to the rock and roll line up? or even the local dj listings. 9 out of 10 times you don't even list stuff going on at starline of freds or the belmont, etc etc... why don't you make it a habbit to list these things daily instead of making me surf to fred's site and startline's site?

You can't please all the people all of the time.

I sent a friend over to fresnofamous.com earlier to check out a listing for Zapps on 6-8-06 and because they are not familiar with the site, or very computer savvy for that matter, they could not find the listing. I went back to fresnofamous.com and realized it had been pushed off of the front page in a matter of minutes because of the six Belmont listings. I would have thought a show coming up in two days would have been more pertinant information for visitors than a show scheduled 45 days later.

Why post a clubs entire calendar anyway? Don't they have web sites for that? If the bands can't make the effort to promote themselves why would I make the effort to go see them?

Could you elaborate a little more? These are different event listings for different shows on different days. You find them to be like spam?

Could you have combined your last six ads into one???

It would have been much more considerate and I would have given more thought to coming to the show. This is more like spam and a total turn off.
