What to do with a MySpace impersonator?
What do you do when someone creates a MySpace page for your identity without your knowledge? Apologies to Graciela Moreno if that is indeed her own handiwork (including the Nelly Furtado and the vibrating butterfly).
It's not the first time a quasi-celebrity's identity has been misrepresented on MySpace. KQED personality Josh Kornbluth recounts an agonizing tale of trying to get MySpace to remove fake profiles of him, complete with obscenities and vulgarities. At least Graciela's fake space is not much more than innocuous "thanks for the add! ~g".
Be careful about impersonating others. A blogger in Los Angeles was fired on "identity theft" grounds for uploading a photo of his boss and leaving comments for other coworkers like, "go back to work" and "good job." We shutter to think about what Graciela's gonna do once she gets her hands on you.

ABC-30 Heroes
I once saw a group of them, including DJ Ras and Christine Park, doing karaoke at Tokyo Garden one night. It was awesome.
what would be even better
is if the whole ABC-30 evening news team got a MySpace page together and developed superhero alter-egos with complete backstories. Now THAT would be Top 8 worthy.
oops... that's "definitely" like to meet :)
Oh the levels of confusion!
Myspace impersonators
Hi Jarah...
Thanks for realizing that couldn't be the real me!! I just got back from vacation and heard from several friends about the site. I plan on contacting Myspace ASAP to have it removed. I feel bad for all those who wrote in and got back a generic and unimaginative "thanks for your support" response. It is frustrating to see how easily someone can steal your identity this way... but as you mentioned, the imposter didn't--or hasn't yet done much harm. And sincerely, thank you, to all who reponded to the "unauthorized" site-- I might just submit a real profile; you all sound like a cool bunch that I'd definately love to "e-meet."
