Good Company Players will present Aaron Sorkin's suspenseful trial drama A FEW GOOD MEN between June 22 and August 13 at their 2nd Space Theatre.This story of a mysterious death at Guantanamo Naval Base that winds up putting the Marine Corps code of honor on trial as well has powerful resonances in today's political climate. The play was produced on Broadway in 1989; it is set in 1986.Two young marines are charged in the death of one of their fellow cadets. Lt. J.G. Daniel Kaffee is brought in to handle the defense, partnered with Lt. Cmdr. Joanne Galloway. Theirs is an oil-and-water partnership; the smart-aleck Kaffee would rather be playing baseball, while the bulldog Galloway is ready to take on the hierarchy of command, up to and including the intimidating Lt. Col. Nathan Jessep. In GCP's production, Kaffee is played by Matt Otstot, Galloway is played by Renee Newlove, and Greg Taber takes on the role of Jessep. The large supporting cast under the direction of Julie Lucido includes Paul Henry and Sean Cameron Young as the accused enlisted men and Stephen Torres as their victim. Jason Bellefeuille, David Otero, Todd Bennett, Philip Wieck, Raul Vasquez, Ronald Blackwell and Ron Maciel are featured as key lawyers and witnesses.Showtimes & Prices: A FEW GOOD MEN has been staged in the round in GCP's 2nd Space. It will play Thursday through Sunday till August 13, with shows at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Ticket prices for all performances are $15.00 general admission, with a student/senior rate of $14.00.
