The logic behind KMJ

First, I promise that I will not endlessly post on this topic, but it is pretty fresh (even though it is not all that surprising).

The Logic of Mainstream Journalists…

August 10, 2006

Below is an email correspondence between myself and John Broeske of KMJ. The lack of reasoning and journalistic laziness is astounding. This speaks volumes about the Ray Appleton show in which he and Pastor Franklin attempted to paint me as a liar, a crazed lunatic, and possibly an anti-Semite.

After I heard the show I emailed KMJ asking that they release the entire show so that people could hear whether I lied. Here's what followed…

*John Broeske to Carlos Fierro:

I don't have the show. It's produced by Jim.

*Carlos Fierro to John Broeske:
John,
Wasn't it irresponsible for Ray Appelton to make comments, calling into question my veracity regarding a show he didn't hear, especially since there is no access to that show unless Jim decides to make it so. Especially, when Jim essentially reasserts the "probable" need for another Hiroshima in order to stop Hezbollah.
Best, Carlos Fierro

*John Broeske to Carlos Fierro:
You are accusing him [Rev. Franklin] of saying something he didn't say. It would be irresponsible for Ray not to say so.

*Carlos Fierro to John Broeske:
Did you hear the his show? Apparently you don't have access to it. Does anyone other than Pastor Jim? He said on today's show that an act like Hiroshima is probably the only way to stop Hezbollah, and that we need to put them in the position where they have to give up. If a Hiroshima like event is probably, likely, certainly, or maybe the only way that we can stop Hezbollah, and that we need to put them in a situation where the give up, what is he saying? Just because he doesn't use the word holocaust doesn't mean that his description of dropping nuclear bomb on Hezbollah isn't a holocaust.

*John Broeske to Carlos Fierro:
I heard what he said today and he said he would never advocate it. You're hearing what you want to hear.

*Carlos Fierro to John Broeske:
What a wonderfully thought out argument. He [Franklin] said today that it would probably take a Hiroshima like event to stop Hezbollah. We need to stop Hezbollah, to make them give up. What is he advocating?

I can't argue with your lack of reasoning. Do you honestly think if Israel dropped the bomb on Lebanon or Iran tomorrow that he would find fault.

Once again, if you're going to make such claims about me, you should demand that he replay the show in its entirety. Wouldn't that solve the problem? Let's hear the context. The entire context.

-End correspondence-

YES I'm concerned with what they say ...

If what they are saying advocates dropping nuclear weapons on hundreds of thousands of innocent people. Especially if the words are coming out of the mouth of a supposed man of God.

Kill My Justice

Do the call letters KMJ stand for Kill My Justice?

I'm glad that you bring up Appleton. I've been asking people if they remember the crazy, radical Appleton that was around until the late 80s early 90s. Just about the time Limbaugh was becoming top AM dog. It is actually rather comical how much Appleton tries to mimic Limbaugh. From crinkling paper on air as he reads something to his "serious" condescending voice when mocking someone he doesn't agree with. Still an influential guy in town.

Broeske + bRay

Your first mistake is thinking John Broeske, Ray Appleton, or any of the hacks at KMJ are "journalists" -- mainstream or otherwise. They are not.

Appleton is just an ex-DJ who I'm told was a regular pinko until he discovered there was money in being a GOP shill (and got too old to rock n roll).

Broeske does trade-outs for some tire dealer here on TV. Makes me all warm and fuzzy, and thinking of Bob Lung.

And you're CONCERNED with what these tards think? They may be many things, but "journalist" ain't it.

This is of course ******MAKE BELIEVE******* NOT REAL********

1) I think we need to throw all cats into a burning building in order to get rid of all cats.

2) We need to get rid of all cats.

3) I would never advocte throwing cats in burning buildings, anyone who knows me know I would never advocate for throwing cats in burning buildings.

Therefore John Broeske would come to the conclusion that: "I heard what he said today and he said he would never advocate it. You're hearing what you want to hear."

He said he'd never do it, and that means he didn't do it?

"I heard what he said today and he said he would never advocate it. You're hearing what you want to hear."

He's seriously using this as a reason why it never happened? This guy has no journalistic integrity until he listens to an unedited version of the show in an attempt to prove you wrong. Should Franklin release the unedited show and should Broeske listen, I don't think that he'd be so glib in telling you that you're hearing what you want to hear.

I don't think you should stop with your line of questioning and responses until KMJ, Broeske or Franklin addresses the issue which they've so far skirted.
