The Fresno Poets' Association kicks off its 2006-07 season with an evening of poetry and prose from the MFA creative writing faculty from Fresno State. Scheduled to read inside the Bonner Auditorium at the Fresno Art Museum are Steven Church, Corrinne Hales, John Hales, Tim Skeen, and Steve Yarbrough. A reception and book signing will follow the reading in the museum gallery.

The FPA is supported by Poets and Writers, Inc., through grants it has received from the James Irvine Foundation and the Bonner Family Foundation. Further funding comes from donation by FPA members. The 2006-07 Fresno Reading Series is presented by the Fresno Poets' Association, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the Fresno Free College Foundation and the Fresno Art Museum.
