Podcasting

I'm fixin to start podcasting. I figure I've got all these interesting and witty things to say, why not make a fortune saying those things out loud into a microphone? The problem is, I don't know how to podcast (the other problem is only a potential-problem, which is the possibility that I've actually nothing interesting to say; if it turns out to be a reality, I'll make a follow-up blog about it).
Do we have any podcasters in here? Who will help me begin? For the love of Fresno, somebody offer a helping hand.

don't have an IPod, don't download tunes, (dial up,)
Not even sure how to work an IPod...
But, you go building those broadcasts, and I might just find me one, and listen...

2. Audio input on your computer
3. Audio recording software with editing and MP3 conversion
4. Upload host site
5. Interesting content

Not much help...
I don't know how to podcast, but I would love to learn more about it. I am finally the proud owner of an iPod and have heard so many people talk about podcasting, I guess I should learn what it is and where to find it.
Anyone care to help?
