Cal Arts Academy (formally Cynthia Merrill's Performance Studio) presents two
new theatre training workshops: ACTING SHAKESPEARE and HOW TO AUDITION! If
you enjoyed Shakespeare in the park this summer and want to know what it
takes to translate text into action on stage, or if you have wanted to gain/ improve
auditioning skills, these workshops will give you theinformation you need to reach your goals.
Classes meet for 8 Saturdays, starting in October, with Adam Meredith as the workshop
instructor. Adam has worked with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Chicago
Shakespeare Theatre and The Goodman Theatre. Locally, he is one of the
founders of Artists' Repertory Theatre and has worked with Epic Theatre and
Woodward Shakespeare Festival. Last summer he played Romeo in Romeo & Juliet
and this year he was the Fight Director and one of the Witches for WSF's
Macbeth.
