Jazz guitarist Nguyen Le - Tiger's Tail Quartet

Bold new jazz sounds that mix east and west, acoustic and electric; French-Vietnamese guitarist Nguyên Lê's all star group is forging new ground in jazz. Featuring woodwind artist Paul McCandless (founding member of Oregon), acclaimed pianist Art Lande and percussionist Patrice Héral, the Tiger's Tail Quartet will perform at the Fresno City College Theatre, Wednesday October 25th at 8:00pm as part of their west coast tour. Their most recent cd is the 2005 release "Standing on the Tiger's Tail" on ACT records. The concert marks the start of JazzFresno's Fall 2006 Season, which will also include performances by GRAMMY award winning jazz vocalist Carmen Bradford, in a tribute to Count Basie (November 28th @ Roger Rocka's) and the Jazz Composers Orchestra (December 4th @ Roger Rocka's).
