Adopt a stray you cold-hearted jerk

Fresno County kills 35,000 strays a year, according to the Fresno Bee. "You are farther back than the most remote corners of Mississippi," said nationally known animal activist Merritt Clifton of Clinton, Wash.

Now really, do we need reminding? We're the poorest, fattest, most polluted, and most overrun with unwanted pet carcasses place this side of the third world.

PS: If anyone knows of a good Pembroke Welsh Corgi breeder, pass it along. It's for a heartless friend.

Everybody loves animals but hates the ones from the streets without "masters". And this is how everyone loves animals and loves the streets without cats and dogs but nobody knows how the state kills those animals.

trapper john

Sucessfully trapped & released 7 stinky cats into the foothills. If they would have cut down on the tree rat population, I could almost put up with them. ...and don't get me started on why there are so many grey foxes in central Fresno (call SPCA to verify my claim).

My cats are both strays I rescued.

Maybe in the "remote areas of Missippi" they just turn them out and let them become road kill, while we document and do it kindly. All my dogs have been adopted or "rescued" and they have all been the most wonderful family members possible.

no, i won't. but if you ask nicely i might.

i like that jarah called us cold hearted jerks. jarah, i don't know if you played sports on any level, but that's definately the tear you down and then build you up method. can't say it really worked for my hs football coaches then, and it's not going to work for you now.

and i lied in the title. even if you ask nicely i won't. my cat won't allow any other pets in the house.

cats and dogs

my favorite part of this blog entry is that the tags are "cats" and "dogs." now that's priceless.
