Thank Heaven! Election Day is almost here!

Election Day is almost here, and my whole family is looking forward to it.
Why?
We are so tired of listening to the election TV commercials, that seem to be completely out of control, as well as the mailings, street signs, radio ads, and every other local medium. I got up early today, tuned in to a local news station, and immeditely had to view 5 in a row, count em, 5 commercials for some candidtate or proposition, after another. Hoo Boy!

If I see one more ad for a proposition or a candidate, I'm going to toss my cookies, and the TV. The same ads, over and over ,and over......holy cow!

Don't get me wrong, I exercise my right to vote, and do so diligently. However, the need for these ads really runs a little thin.....I make my decisions, and I hope most others do, not from ads, but by reading about both sides of the issues, and making a decision. Thats it.

I honestly think that the amount of money spent on these prolific ads is a big waste, and would be much better spent on some charitable organization or other worthy cause. I would view that gesture as being much more meaningful coming from the proponents of whatever, than a months-long blitzkrieg of boring, biased, and annoying television ads.

Good riddance!
