the best Fresno T-shirt I've seen (20 years ago in a little Tower District shop) is this:

I am incredibly amused by this thread. It went from, "OMG! This is the reason Detroit makes fun of us!" (slightly off-topic, but, wtf?) to the speculation on whether Kevin Federline is from Fresno or Clovis.

I really am sick and tired of the love affair between political incorrectness and absolutely offended. Seriously, what's the big deal at the end of the day? If you can't laugh at everything, you shouldn't laugh at anything.

And, seriously, these shirts are TAME. Any of you heard of tshirthell?

Besides, you can take pride in what you are/where you're from and make fun of it at the same time. That's one of the most wonderful things about freedom of speech. Heh.

Kevin went to Tenaya Middle and Bullard High - completely Fresno schools.

I don't know if he went to any Clovis-Unified-schools-that-are-actually-in-Fresno-but-make-Clovis-look-good-and-Fresno-bad schools.

clovis west is located in the city of fresno, but is in the clovis unified school dist. i don't know whether or not k-fed went there though.

i do think i remember jarah or someone posting a pic of his middle school id or school pic, which was from a fresno jr. high. it may even be ff's myspace pic.

humor is necessary, and there are some funny things about fresno.

however, i think a majority of us toe that line a little too often...if not, we will continue to be the laughing stock of california, and ourselves included in the laughter.

good, lively places begin with local pride. and if we all stick up for the valley and fresno when the jokes start, people will see that there is something to love here. and not just some thing, but a million things to love and be proud of.

i may be stubborn in my valley/fresno pride, but i have gotten my [out of town] friends to admit that the place is actually quite charming.

not to say that we can't laugh every once in a while that we are actually the proud hometown of k-fed...

come on have a sense of humor, if everybody laughs at Fresno then there must be something funny. If we can't make fun of ourselves a little then we're all being way to serious, lighten up.

I'm sure ya'll is intelligent, but the shirts are just not creative at all. Very boring, one step above teddy bear sweatshirts. I would love nothing more than a cutting edge clothing company to come out of Fresno, your just not it. Also, why so defensive? If you really want to do something outstanding take a little criticism, reflect, and try to do something better next time.

Whoever you people are who are hating on these shirts really need to get a life. At least someone was creative enough to come up with witty sayings to go on a t-shirt. Why don't you go back to your job at McDonald's and try to think of something better then "Even Detroit laughs at us". Come on... grow up...oh ya I'll take fries with that.... If you had any intelligence at all which I sincerely doubt, you could easily see that these shirts are not demeaning Fresno, they are simply light hearted sayings. Also I would take a trip to Bakersfield if I were you and you will see that shirt is all about. I ordered 10.

So you have FRESNO:AT LEAST IT'S NOT BAKERSFIELD, which is totally demeaning to people in Bakersfield and only uses more trash talking in order to make our city, "look better"?????????? It's like, we think we're pretty bad, but not as bad as Bakersfield.
Then there is "DON'T WHITE TRASH FRESNO" which just feeds more stereotypes. Last choice is a shirt that shows the logo of the company that put out these rags.
The original post said something about them being funny but I can not imagine who they would be funny to. Joe is right, every one (including Detroit) laughs at us. And I don't even think they used Photoshop, it was probably one of those free softwares that come with the computer.

That's the best you can come up with? Jesus, no wonder every other city (including Detroit) laughs at us. It looks like you took three minutes in Photoshop to make each design.
