In 2000 83.6 percent of passwords in use were categorized as 'weak', meaning they were fairly easy to guess. In 2006 that number had dropped to 50.5 percent.

A Launch Party for A Prairie Home Companion on 90.7 KFSR w/ Eva Scow

Garrison Keillor's acclaimed radio show A Prairie Home Companion is coming to 90.7 KFSR this December - Saturdays at 5:00pm and Sundays at 12:00pm, beginning December 2nd. You'll hear great live music, comedy sketches and The News From Lake Wobegon. The program is heard nationwide by over 4 million listeners each week on over 500 stations, and 90.7 KFSR is pleased to bring it to the Fresno airwaves. The program was recently the subject of Robert Altman's fictional film of the same name.

To celebrate the Fresno launch of A Prairie Home Companion on 90.7 KFSR, make plans to join us at the Fresno Art Museum's Bonner Auditorium - Saturday December 2nd, at 4:00pm for a special event called "Homecoming". The event will feature music by Fresno's own Eva Scow (left), a brilliant young mandolinist and violinist, who has already recorded with such names as David Grisman, Mike Marshall and Anthony Wilson. Eva's music ranges from bluegrass to jazz, folk to Brazilian music, and we're delighted to have her and her group as part of our event. Eva will be joined by vocalist and fiddler Dalisay Richter, from the band Baloney Creek. A four time state fiddle champion, Dalisay has performed her bluegrass infused music with various groups for more than fifteen years, and also plays piano, mandolin, bass and guitar.

Following the music, at 5:00pm, join us in the lobby of the Fresno Art Museum for a reception and listen to the inaugural 90.7 KFSR broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion. More info is available by calling 90.7 KFSR at 559-278-2598.

exciting!

Eva Scow and Dalisay Richter jammin' together.....that damn near illegal in most states

Re: PHC coming to Fresno

Yeah, that's a great program. Ira Glass is a genius. It's rare for someone like him to come along and invent a totally fresh approach to "radio". And you're right, it is distributed by Public Radio International, not NPR.

And thanks for the kind words about the addition of A Prairie Home Companion to the lineup. We're excited too!

snagging Prairie Home Companion very very good.

snagging 'This American Life,' with Ira Glass (who has him, David and Amy Sedaris, among others,,,)?

even better...

(dunno how much they cost... they may be PRI vs NPR, but they are put out by WBEZ in Chicago.... Truly one hour where you will be glued to your radio.... I promise. (you can stream it too.)

I have not heard the news from Lake Wobegon in quite some time... (Wonder how pastor Inqvist is doing???)
