We missed an important milestone yesterday. The 20th anniversary of the airing of "Fresno: the miniseries.". Does The Movies have a copy?
Aggressive, heartfelt campaigns (ok, one email) to persuade CBS to release the series on DVD have resulted in zilch. Filmworks, can you hook it up?

If I remember I think that most of the local extras in that Miniseries were featured in the Masquerade ball scene. The just the former Mayor Dan Whitehurst was in that scene...

My friend has a copy of The Mini-Series. I cannot remember if it is VHS or DVD. He works for a local television station so that maybe where he got a copy.

Pirates of the Caribbean:Fresno
I was onced asked about this on a similar forum and responded in a fashion similar to Ms/Mr AntiMusick. I was then contacted privately and sent to a web-site I have since forgotten the name of. Sure enough, there was "Fresno". The site, tho, had a full page, 5 or 6 paragraph diclaimer as to why what they were selling were not pirates. Which, of course, meant that they were.
I was once told by someone at the Fresno Film Commission that they had a copy (perhaps taped off the telebitchin) but I'm not too sure that said commission still exists. Even if they do, I don't know how you might get your hands on it.
