Erase painful childhood memories this Thanksgiving
First and foremost, for the love of all things holy (and Jerry Dyer, who may or may not be holy), put some taxi cab numbers in your phone right now. Getting a taxi can be painful in Fresno- waits of 45 minutes to an hour! So, when you order your last drink, give 'em a call. If you're relatively close to home, call Shuttlebugz, the pedicab service. Famous doesn't drive drunk, and neither should you.
<--break!-->
Now onto erasing those painful memories. If they're extremely traumatic, Zapps Park (under new ownership) will be open on Thursday from 4:30pm - 2:00am with drink specials such as $2.00 schnapps (festive!), $2.50 domestic beer (fun!), and $2.50 well drinks (serious issues). Before or after check out Reggae Thursdays at Veni's just a few blocks west of Zapp's on Olive. And no, this isn't close enough for you to drive there drunk.
On Friday dance away the turkey gut with Meatball Magic at the Red Lantern (hello, cab time!) or with Rock en Espanol at Club Fred. Don't miss Reel Pride's screening of Another Gay Movie at the Tower Theater either.
Enjoy the holiday, and we'll see you on Monday!

Holiday DUI Viewing
Speaking of drunk driving, the NBC Nightly News story about the Fresno Police's DUI Stings will be airing tonight during the 5:30 broadcast on KSEE 24. Check and see if you were broadcast to the country driving drunk down Palm, last weekend.
Also see Police Chief Jerry prove to the nation that Fresno has the shiniest heads and best cop mustaches in all of the country.
Let's not forget...
The biggest rock show of the year at Tokyo Garden on Saturday.
Pinkeye (Hear all the hits at this one-time renunion show.)
Big Balls (Hells Belles, they ain't. They're better. The world's only AC/DC cover band.)
SparklJet (Fresno's best kick-you-in-the-ass rock.)
