This week in Famous we take a small tour of the Fresno house music scene. Born 20 years ago in the black gay clubs of Chicago, house is going strong in Fresno. What is house? Damn near anything with a 4/4 beat and an inclusive, open attitude.

Plus we've got an interview with San Francisco's DJ Nathan, who hits up Fresno's Club Fred next Wednesday. Nathan runs house label Care Recordings, whose latest release is "First Light" by 3brotherstrong.

And on the non-house tip, Malcolm reviews "Alive at Departure" from Kentucky's Instant Camera. Oh you didn't know Fresno is big in Louisville? If you like the Gang of Four revival, but with a southern twist, you'll dig it.
