Public Grand Opening Weekend December 15

North American Cinemas and Sierra Vista Mall welcome the completion and gala opening of Criterion Cinemas 16, a state-of-the-art 16 screen megaplex theater in Clovis.

Clovis has anticipated a stadium seating theater for years and that day has finally arrived. Criterion Cinemas 16 will hold their VIP Invitation Only Gala event on Thursday December 14 starting at 5:30pm. Search lights, red carpet, beautifully decorated Christmas trees and the Fresno Gold Note Chorus will welcome the invitation only guests as they enter the beautiful 16 screen theater lobby. Inside they will enjoy champagne, wine, catering by Fugazzi's California Bistro and the music of local talent, Ed Burke.

A ribbon cutting will take place at 6:45pm followed by the official opening of the theaters. Guests are invited to stay and enjoy a movie of their choice.

Friday December 15 the doors open to the general public at noon. Patrons will enjoy $1.00 popcorn, soda and hotdogs December 15 — 17 in celebration of the grand opening. Search lights will greet them in the evenings during the grand opening weekend along with various musical entertainment outside.

Media is invited to interview North American Cinemas Vice President Corey Tocchini and enjoy a private tour of the theater on Wednesday and Thursday December 13 and 14 by appointment.
