Bee happy!
I'm personally saddened by the tone of many comments so far on the sale of the Famous sites. It has kinda kicked the wind out of my sails.
I have some questions:
1. Do you really think Jarah would sell to a buyer she believed would censor posts on Famous? (Praising her while assuming this is what she did is just plain creepy.)
2. Do you really think the Bee would censor
3. and suffer the shitstorm this community would no doubt rain down on them?
I am really really excited about the potential for this site to grow. I always have been - even more so now because of the larger possibilities. Who better to reach the wider community than the Bee? The larger this community becomes the better, and more representative it becomes.
I'm very hopeful the Bee will sink some of its resources into growing and improving the Famous sites. Did any of you notice the fantastic redesign of their own site? They have certainly raised the bar.
And guess what, if I don't like how things progress I'll yell about it right here and hope you all will too - just like we have for the last 2 years.

We're all in it together.....
All respect Mssr. Jones...
Mister Frank D.
Hello Mr. Frank D.
Just so's ya know, that wasn't me posting as 'sleepy dwarf'--but yeah, I do applaud KFSR for their continued support of local bands---I even emailed DJ Prof after a set he did stringing a buncha locals together (including my own). If I was untoward in my re-mentioning of KFSR's Jazzexplosion on the thread Jarah started about the 'Big News' here at Famous, I apologize and ask your understanding, because though I find myself in the "yes-i-have-all-respect-for-Jarah-let's-see-how-this-all-plays-out-and-even-if-it-does-go-to-heck-(which we hope it doesnt)she-gave-us-all-something-ULTRA-cool-for-a-few-years-now" camp---it was a matter of big change taking the breath out of me (and many of us) --not unlike a major change at our beloved campus radio station.
I have something to say about maybe 'why' folks are so freaked out about this latest change--but I'll bounce that over to the other thread.
and much respect to you,
B.
Jazz all day...
And EVENING ECLECTIC -- with tunes from people like BLAKE JONES AND THE TRIKE SHOP. In fact, I've heard some Trike shop a FEW times this week, Thereminman...
hahahaha. jazz all day.
indeed.
Let em gripe.
Why not see this as a great opportunity to tap into the resources that the Bee can provide (as well as financial backing) and a way to get "our" message out to more people than EVER?!?!
This glass is totally half full.....
