The term/genre "progressive rock" gets thrown around pretty loosly these days. However, in the old 1970's and modern sense of the term "progressive rock", CRIME IN CHOIR is one of the best the genre has to offer in 2007.

Sure, it is notable that CRIME IN CHOIR features founding members of AT THE DRIVE IN and THE FUCKING CHAMPS, but the real power here is derived from the sum of the band's parts.

As meandering and challenging as these lengthy songs are structurally, they are still extremely tight and focused.
