"I am MAN" quote taken from the Burger King commercial with the old guy pulling a truck at the end for a burger from Burger King… And that Burger King Mascot guy in the commercials is also hella funny looking. (hella is a bay area word if you didn't know) Who Am I? Originally from the Bay Area and ventured to Fresno to attend Fresno State about 4 years ago. Now in my Senior Year but will probably be graduating spring of 08. I, like many College students, am on the five year plan. Everyone says that Fresno's so boring…But really I've adjusted and learned that you have to make your own fun and look for it… FresnoFamous website has definitely helped me know what's happening in the NO. Oh Party ALL the TIME.

All right. I admit. I use it sometimes. But only when it is deserving. I remember discussing the use of "hella" as a prefix in my linguistics course at SF State back in 2000. I had heard it in use here in Fresno for a couple years prior. I believe it was followed by "ganga" but that didn't seem to last very long. Then dearest Gwen Stefani brought back "hella" for us all to love again.
