This Saturday is the Central Valley Blues Societies 5 Year Anniversary / Benefit and we are going to have one hell of a blow out. Crossroads has let us have the run of the place this Saturday night, Feb. 3 at 8:30 pm. For only $15 you get 4 hot blues bands in one night. Coming from the Merced area are 2 groups who regularly play at Rudy's Jazz and Blues. I'm sure they will bring some of their fans down this way to see what a great place we have at Crossroads in Fresno. To start with Mike Hammer and The Nails who Wowed the crowd at the 2005 Central Valley Blues Festival, will bring his hot guitar and tight groovin' band in for the opening slot. Then Cynthia Huddleston and The Whiskey Low Band take the stage to croon you with her powerful, soulful, bluez vocals. Any time Cynthia is in an audience she is asked to sit in with the band, and for good reason. Then holding down the Fresno front, Deja Blues comes to bat with two very special guests, starting with Hal Kent, Lead Guitarist for The Loose Gravel Blues Band out of Visalia, who is also the best webmaster money can buy. And Rich Graham, (Mr B-3) of Hwy 61. We aim to get down and funky!! Then we have another South Valley Legend, The Rudy Parris Band. Most of you have seen Rudy play drums for Ron Thompson on Thursday nights but when he gets on the guitar and microphone he becomes one with them. Rudy is also in the middle of his Live DVD release series and we get the first performance since its release. Rudy's DVD will be available for $20 and Rudy has offered a portion of each DVD to go to the CVBS for our benefit, so buy a lot. Come prepared to be blown away.
It also looks like Rudy and the Band will be performing this Friday on KMPH FOX 26's Great Day Festive Friday. 6:15am to 9am. Stay tuned.

Then, just when you think we are having it all, what about the POT LUCK! Our last Pot Luck was great and a lot of folks said they don't know about it so now you do. So bring your favorite dish and join the fun. The Pot Luck will get underway around 7:30 so get there early.
