Actually Tom said he might be interested last year. He is kind of back and forth on the idea. You can tell he loves the spotlight, he'd run providing he thought people would support his ideas.

I haven't heard anything from Ashley, however, I did meet the guy who said he began the rumor that she was thinking about it.

Henry T. is definitly out of the running, he announced his running for Arumbula's job at the Assembly.

I am Throwing My Hat in the Ring

I too am throwing my hat in the ring. It is an old hat and I don't want it anymore. Maybe somebody else can use it.

I heard an ugly rumor that Walt's had thawed out a couple of times when the lab had a problem with the power or freezers or something... (but it turned out to be just an ugly rumor.)

-I don't see what the big deal would be.. I mean, IF he thawed out and was refrozen?

I heard Councilmen Jerry Duncan and Henry Perea, jr. are interested and Ashley Swearengin's name has been mentioned. She is heavily involved in the Regional Jobs Initiative (RJI).

The Replacement of Autry

Well, I know that Mike Dages (District 5) is in the running for sure.

Word on the street is that Jim Patterson might be back to give it another shot. (I'll hold my tongue on this one)

I've heard a few more names which I cannot remember off the top of my head right now.

I really want someone in there with some fresh, progressive ideas. And the implementation skills to back it up.

Just to Be Up to Date

I would like to see Blong Xiong's picture or Mike Dages replacing Tom's picture. I am unsure of who I would like to be the next Mayor.

Is it the hair or the muustache? Would you like to see his picture there instead of Autry's, say in about 2 years?
