Dave & Busters in Downtown Fresno???
Food, drinks, arcade/games, TV...umm...what else they got???
Just a suggestion... I do believe a vast majority of Fresno's young adult and middle aged crowd would go a good number of times each year.
D&B's isn't really that great, but I bet they'd make A LOT of money in Fresno (considering there's nothing like it w/in a 100 mile radius)... Fa real, if you don't go to tha club...you're pretty much stuck at night on tha weekends. I really don't think they'd have tha same problems most other businesses would have downtown. They'd pretty much survive as Club Ones rival...and most likely win (even though u can't gamble in D&B's).
Anyway, I bet people would come from various Valley "cities"/towns ta visit our downtown area after it's up and runnin.
BUT, I have a feeling that you'd be hard pressed to get tha city to try and make it happen.
PS: I base my assertions on absolutely nothing but opinion...so don't ask for stats ;-) Thanks.

oooh you're right
Oops I'm wrong on that one. I just looked at the link at franchise information and didn't click on the tab. Also, the company is headquarted in Dallas, not Little Rock. No Clinton?
The way most big business do business is based on numbers. My guess here is that a company like this would lean towards the North end of town to open a store.
There are suitable franchises available that could be acquired to open up Downtown.
Actually...
I read this (below) on their site last year and it's still there. I'm guessing this means they won't go anywhere that they aren't already making an effort to move to??? (Somebody help me if I got it wrong...Thanks)
Licensing Information:
All domestic Dave & Buster's stores are company-owned and operated. Therefore, we do not provide franchise licenses for Domestic locations. (i.e. The United States)

D&B's
Thanks for the link. Oh this is too funny, the company is from Little Rock, appearently Clinton was involved in the business, this is from their website -
Next door another man was also enjoying a bustling business. Dave ran "Slick Willy's World of Entertainment." Here people were almost irresistibly drawn by his selection of outrageous fun and games for big people.
So, here is the scoop on this place: it is a franchise which means any local folks with enough belief in Downtown could invest in the store and open it up. Anyone reading this willing to combine efforts and ante up some cash?
Here's tha website:
Dave and Buster's
In response to what Jason said about tha city and/or D&B's setting up shop downtown...I do believe you're right. But, I'd think that tha city could make it happen if they really did want to get downtown re-started with a heavy hitter...Really should have made a corporation like D&B's a great offer with a lot of extras if they came first...might not have made tha stadium a waste of money...Shoot, a couple of places like that, along with tha clubs that are already there, would bring us back in no time. To start off, people could bounce between tha clubs that will surely start doing more business, Club One Casino, and D&B's...
(I'd go downtown every once in a while...There'd be about as much to do there as elsewhere, considering everywhere else is pretty much restaurant only)
"Tha people" could handle tha art and culture side after that...THEN tha city would give some push to tha Fulton project and so on...huh??? Maybe...

Downtown business
Who is Dave and Buster's? Is there a website for them?
Not enough people.
I don't think they would take the chance. There isn't a client base downtown, so they'd be counting on people to travel there. Businesses usually go where the customers are, not the other way around.
